The meeting\u2019s central theme was \u201cBone reconstruction in implant therapeutics\u201d, with speakers such as Dr. Federico Fern\u00e1ndez-Alfaro, Dr. Istvan Urban and Dr. Luca de Stavola presenting different therapeutic approaches to the clinical practice.<\/p>\n<p>A significant percentage of patients who come to dental surgeries to correct the lack of one or more teeth also have differing degrees of bone atrophy. This situation makes rehabilitation difficult and sometimes impossible with a fixed implant-supported prosthesis.
